I am a firm believer in writing down what God highlights when listening to a teacher or preacher, receiving a prophetic word, reading the word of God, or in your prayer time. Have it written down so you may return to it, meditate on it and pray about it. This can help you gain the revelation that God had intended for you. Not everything comes in a split second. You get what you give. If you spend time seeking God, you will encounter Him and spend more time with Him. If you spend time reading the word of God, you will reap from that time, renewing your mind, revelation, and preparation. I have often read the word, and soon after, I would need that exact scripture for someone I encountered or my own circumstances. I would write down any scripture that spoke to me. I would go to church, and the same scripture would be used in the sermon. It both encouraged and enlightened me. I've often felt like the whole sermon was written just for me; however, there were 100 other people there. The word can confirm to you something God has been speaking to you. God can prove to you in many more ways, so I encourage you to write it all down. Growth in your relationship with God and working to learn about who you are and what you were created for takes effort. It takes the initiative. If you want God and all He has for you, you can have it. There is nothing in your way. You may say, "how is this true? I am depressed, have a hard life, don't know how to seek God, am broken, or whatever thought you might have. The things in your life that are walls that prevent you from growing and becoming what God created you to be are all things that were settled at the cross. There is absolutely nothing greater than God. No power in hell or stronghold build up within your lifetime can stand against God and His truth which is the word and His plans for you. All you have to do is want it. Once you have made that choice, God will begin a work in you. His word says that He will also finish that work. Life Application Tips Wisdom Women By: Rebekah Vigil

The following are scriptures to reference the importance of the word of God, how we are to meditate on the word, and the importance of giving time to this. Remember, as you read the word, write down what you feel stands out.

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work

John 17:17

Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

John 17:17

But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Identity We have an individual identity and an identity as a whole group of believers. The body of Christ is in an identity crisis. The root of several issues in the body of Christ is the lack of revelation of the true identity of the body of Christ and each believer that makes up the body of Christ. All believers make up one group called the body of Christ or the bride of Christ. It is essential to understand that for the bride to be ready for Jesus to come, each needs to know their identity. How can a large group work together if they don't understand who they are or their place within the big picture? Our initial focus as believers needs to be establishing an intimate relationship with the Lord. As you get to know God, you will know who you are in Him. You will gain freedom through a relationship with Him where you talk to Him, read His word, worship Him, and spend time just fellowshipping with Him in His presence. Gain revelation. Gain identity. Gain healing. Gain maturity. Gain love for Him. Gain His love for you. He has everything you need in this life to do all that He created you to do. As you grow in this individual walk, at the same time, God is molding you and training you for your position within the body of Christ.

Philippians 1:6

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
