An example. I had terrible stage fright. One morning I was scared to sing for the first time at church. I was nauseous and shaking. But as I prayed, God told me I was His and that when I do anything for Him He is my cloak and will never leave me. He said to put Him on like a cloak. He said I will disappear and He will remain. With that knowledge of who I was to Him, I was able to hold the mic and sing my first worship song in front of 500 people. God teaching me my identity in Him opened the door up for years to come of growing as I learned to lead worship. Being a worship leader opened the door for me to be around many different churches and atmospheres. I grew into who I am today through my travels doing worship. The first time I was asked to give a word. It was one sentence and very simple however, we need to start somewhere! Now, I travel the world preaching, teaching, and doing worship. No matter where you are in your journey you can grow and learn more. I seek God to grow in my call as an Apostle. As we continue on our adventures with Christ, He is with us and for us. I would like to encourage you to pray and ask God to reveal to you, what he created you for and He will. Keep in mind that Some of you are on a healing journey so God is working on your heart and renewing your minds. Some are being refined within your character and integrity. God may not say today that you are an apostle or pastor and that you're going to preach to the nations. Your identity journey is your own and each of us is on a path that God has laid out. Each one is different. Be encouraged that no matter where you are on your journey it is all in preparation for you to glorify God and fulfill the call on your life. I’ve learned that God will tell us about our future within His purposes and things He has called us to do only by the pace He chooses. Because no matter where we think we are, God truly knows where we are and what He can trust us with and what we can handle. He planned and thought out our lives.
1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it. Romans 12:4-5 For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Ephesians 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; Romans 12:6-8 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Ephesians 4:11-13 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
