I am delighted to introduce you to our Campus Services department and Business Plan and Strategy. The department was created in October 2022 and brings together the following areas: Residential Services, Conferencing. Food and Drink, Sports, Nursery and Car Parking During the next five-year plan, we will lead on an exciting programme of development and change and invest in all essential areas. This will incrementally transform the campus services and the portfolio in a way that creates a thriving campus for students, staff and the community to dwell and help creates spaces that will create real world experiences that is fit for the future. The department’s strategic aims and priorities are set to deliver a positive impact and contribute to the University Strategy and its key themes: • Preparing our students for the future • Equity, diversity, and inclusion • Environmental sustainability • Local roots, Global ambition • Innovation – Intensifying industry collaboration • People, Digital, Campus • Financial resilience
• Evaluate every area within the department to create efficiencies, increase collaboration, innovation and creativity reduce insufficiencies. • Build a culture and ways of working which support a single, integrated department that is commercially focused and agile, whilst focusing on the customer experience and requirements • Reshape and develop our skills enabling us to increase capacity in line with university growth plans, and better meet demand. • Shape and transform the business and operating models into lean, agile, and efficient critical function within the university, whilst ensuring continuous improvement, working effectively and flexibly to consistently deliver best in class service. • Examine our sourcing arrangements and seek to achieve better value from our supply chain, renegotiate contracts and continuously challenging the standards. • Demonstrate value for money and positive customer experience. To achieve these aims, we are looking to recruit this key position of Project Manager – Campus Services.
