Welcome to the Scott Angus Cattle 3rd Annual Bull Sale. I think you will agree that the Scott Angus family has put together a powerful set of bulls for your consideration. As the consulting nutritionist, I strive to develop optimal nutrition and management programs to match and express the genetic potential of the cattle while giving special attention to safeguarding soundness and reproductive longevity. At Scott Angus, the mantra is “cattle should never have a bad day” and every effort is made to uphold that ideal.

AUCTIONEER: Matt Lowery........................................308-750-6119 REPRESENTATIVES: Randy Rasby, Livestock Media Group........................... 308-539-6195 Will Harsh, Angus Journal......................................................308-730-1396
NUTRITIONAL PHILOSOPHY: The nutritional treatment of breeding stock from conception to first breeding can have a profound effect on their lifetime production potential. Nutritional influences on future health and productivity have been traced as far back as early embryonic development; a concept termed “fetal programming”. That is why we focus not only on the nutrient requirements of the cow throughout her life cycle, but also the nutritional factors that affect gene expression of economically important traits in the developing calf. From conception to turnout, we focus on expressing the genetic potential of the cattle without compromising structural soundness and breeding performance. BULL DEVELOPMENT: We believe in the concept of developing bulls, not finishing them. To properly develop breeding stock, we pay special attention to their energy, protein, trace mineral, and vitamin requirements. The Scott Angus bulls were developed on high-roughage, moderate-energy, high-protein diet. Particular attention was given to optimal vitamin and trace mineral supplementation to promote proper reproductive development and ensure reproductive longevity. We think that you will agree that our nutritional philosophy has produced an exceptional set of fertile breeding bulls that are ready to go to work for you. Buy with confidence!

MARLIN & KELLY SCOTT
Thank you for your interest in Scott Angus Cattle’s third annual production sale! This sale features A.I.’d bull calves and ET flush calves out of our elite donors and top end registered females. These calves represent why we have chosen their mothers in our flush program and the longevity of their cow-family lineage living on at Scott Angus Cattle. Our goals in the cattle industry are as simple as this: The 5 F words: First Feet, Foundation, and Fertility = Future! After that, you can move onto phenotype, calving ease, milk and udder structure, scrotal, and disposition. We are very gratified in the results of our family’s hard work towards this sale offering. We believe it to be our strongest set of bulls to date! Within this catalog you will see standouts of notable proven sires and fresh genetics including our FIRST collection of dynamic Sitz Pride 200B progeny including seven yearlings and five 18 month old bulls sired by Connealy Craftsman, Musgrave Milestone, SAV Panther and Baldridge Pappy! Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have about the sale offering. We truly appreciate your interest in our program and supporting our family’s dream. The Scott Family looks forward to working with you and hope to see you sale day -- Wednesday, January 29th! Sincerely, Scott Angus Cattle family

A hefty pasture favorite of the Armstrong sire group is a big, long-bodied hulk of a bull weighed in as the 3rd highest at weaning of the entire offering. He’s supported by a bullet proof EPD profile including top 1% $M and $C at 295 and supreme calving ease. He’s been AJ’s favorite Armstrong since birth! His proven Baldridge Colonel dam, SAC Madame Pride 8051, puts the right amount of spice into the 4142’s lineage by adding the Isabel Y69 cow family, who will go down in history as one of the top Angus producers ever. 8051 averaged 72lb birthweight on six calves, and records WR 4/107. Her 2023 born Panther daughter sold on the Belles of the Grade female sale to Jason Ostertag in Menomonie, Wisconsin. We loved her clean polished showy look with great extension and length of body.
