+ C119 tied as the 14 th top weaning weight bull of his crop! He’s a high volume, big ribbed, good quartered, super slick haired bull. + C119 offers the 3 rd highest YW EPD and 2 nd highest Scrotal EPD of any bull selling! Better yet, he has one of the top Heifer Pregnancy (HP) EPDs. This high growth bull is best suited for use on cows. + Dam A22 was a first calf heifer with C119, and I’d say she did a mighty fine job by raising a 845 pound bull calf and she is going to move up her calving date by exactly 3 weeks in 2025! + A22 was the #1 weaning weight heifer of her crop at 863 pounds, and raised when her mother was 10 years old! She beat out the rest of the females by over 50 pounds! What an accomplishment! She has always been a phenotypic standout. + As a bred heifer, A22 somehow cut her lower leg down to the bone and left a large gash on her leg. We honestly didn’t know if we could save her or not. She went into the chute daily for wound cleaning and treatment, and she took her treatments very well (held her pregnancy too). She now has a large mal-formed area on her leg, but she is a happy, functional cow doing just great! Not all stories like this have a happy ending, but we are sure glad hers did! + Pathfinder grandam L265’s claim to fame was being the mother of Hoover Know How. Known as “Stormy” around Hoover Angus, L265 is our only daughter of SydGen Storm. + Stormy is a calm cow and has one Pathfinder daughter that works in the herd. Stormy and the 6 generations of cows behind her have been superior uddered females. + Stormy’s progeny work for Jason Otto, Gareld Carpenter, Tom Young, Bill McLaren, Melvin & Annette Warren, Steve Medlin, Teixeira Cattle Co., Ron & LuAnne Brown, and Select Sires. + When you come to the Hoover sale this year, take a look at the north wall of the building, and you will see pedigrees of some of the original cows in Walt Hoover’s herd, including the foundational dam in this pedigree! This has truly been one of the most influential and profitable cow families in our 97-year history! C119’s ancestor, C57, has 101 daughter descendants that have worked in the herd, as well as 9 that have served as donors and 18 Pathfinders! Truly a highly productive cow family running generations deep!

+ Retaining 1/3 revenue sharing semen interest. + C8 is a thick, big nutted, big framed, brute of a bull – he’s one of my favorites! He’s got the frame and growth to sire lots of pounds at weaning time. C8 is super slick haired, and that is one of the things we liked best about his sire. + The muscle is evident in this bull when you see him in person, but also in his Ribeye EPD that is the 3 rd highest of any bull selling! We recommend this stout bull for use on cows. + C8 tied as the 2 nd top weaning weight ET bull of his crop! + A featured maternal brother to C8 sells as Lot 93. + Dam S86 is a 13 th generation Blackcap Empress female from Hoover Angus – this cow family is one of our most productive, profitable cow families in our history! + S86 has had numerous photo feature progeny, and her sons and daughters work for Lane Stortenbecker, Melvin & Annette Warren, Pat Hardy, Richard Persinger, Tom McGinnis, and Jared Ernst. + The daughter of S86 working in the Hoover herd was the 5 th top weaning weight, 2 nd top ribeye scan and 8 th top IMF scan heifer of her crop! She has earned Pathfinder honors. + S86 embryos sold to Point Pleasant Angus in Virginia and Four Sons Farms in Kentucky for $1750. + This pedigree traces back to the great C57 cow. C57 has 101 daughter descendants that have worked in the herd, as well as 9 that have served as donors and 18 Pathfinders! Truly a highly productive cow family running generations deep! Lots 24-27 all descend from her.
