+ C100 is a square made, good quartered, thick bull. + C100 has one of the best Hair Shed (HS) EPDs among the bulls selling! He also ties as the 4 th top $Maternal Value bull! He is recommended for use on cows. + Sire Tahoe was one of the few “outside AI bulls” used in the Hoover program. We used him as a fresh pedigree bull that covered the bases really well (structure, phenotype and EPD-wise) and was one of the best bulls of the breed for early hair shedding (important in fescue country). + Dam R501 is an easy fleshing, attractive cow that has yet to give us a daughter. Maybe 2025 is her year! Her sons work for John Stender, Darrell Jameson, and Jerry Findley. + Grandam J36 raised numerous top weaning weight calves, and her 5 sons work for Scott Renaud, Mark Ruen, James Humble, Jerry Findley, and BJ & Wyatt Thompson. The only two daughters she had were both retained in the herd. + J36 was one of my favorite cows – she was such a classic CC&7 cow – beautiful phenotype and udder, easy going, and brought in a good calf every year.

+ Calving ease deluxe! C107 is a bigger framed Empire son that is really long bodied. He has a small head and bone appropriate for calving ease. He’s good – check him out! + C107 ties as the 2 nd lowest BW EPD bull selling – a sure-fire heifer bull! Better yet, he still has muscle, too, as he ties as the #1 Ribeye EPD bull to sell! + Dam T151 is an attractive cow with an ideal udder. She has a 358 day calving interval. Her claim to fame in the Hoover herd is being one of the top 5 ribeye ratio cows with a superior 2-111 ribeye ratio! She scanned a 12.1” ribeye herself (breed average for heifers is currently 9.8”). + Doug & Renee Niemann and Andy Eichelberger own T151’s progeny. Niemann’s bull was the 4 th top weaning weight bull of his crop. + Grandam P265 is an easy fleshing cow 365 days a year and is known for her back- to-back sets of twins (and she moved her calving date up from the first set to the second set)! + P265’s progeny work for Kevin Ross, Paul Nelson, Gerald Swelling, and Roger Pohlkamp. Paul’s bull scanned a 17.8” ribeye to be the #1 ribeye scan bull of our 2021 sale. + Great grandam D362’s fertility was shown by her 366 day calving interval on 11 calves. Two of her progeny were photo features.

+ C121 is a nice footed, bigger framed, long bodied, attractive-made bull. He is likely best suited for use on cows. + Dam T54 is a super stout cow with a 357 day calving interval. Her $10,000 son that was one of the top weaning weight calves of his crop works for long-time repeat customer Glen Hanson. Her featured daughter works for Jamie Isane. + T54 had excellent performance data herself: WW 711 lbs., WR 107, YW 1031 lbs., YR 108, IMF 5.51, ratio 126, ribeye 14.9”, ratio 139 (that’s 5 inches above breed average)! + Pathfinder grandam K11 was one of the most beautiful Hoover Dam daughters we have ever had! She had a 366 day calving interval and put 3 successful daughters in the herd, including the dam of Hoover Attraction. + One daughter of K11 was selected as a feature from our 2022 sale to be a donor cow for Tyler Shelton at $13,000. K11 is a great cow to work with at calving time. We count on her to bring in one of the best calves every year. + K11 is the base for ribeye in this cow family – as a yearling heifer, she scanned a 15.3” ribeye, with an 1104 pound scan weight. Breed average for heifers is currently 9.8”! K11 passes this trait on to her progeny, as they average a whopping 119 ribeye ratio! + Pathfinder great grandam C355 was a high producing cow whose six progeny averaged $6775 – not bad for a 2004 model cow! Her first daughter earned Pathfinder honors. She produced two full sibs to K11 that were photo features topping the $10,000 mark!

+ C116 is a stout meatwagon! He should have been a photo feature! He really has a lot of style, but still a small head to aid in calving ease. + Genomics pegs C116 as solidly in the calving ease category, although I would rather recommend him for cows instead of heifers to be on the safe side. + C116 ties as the 3 rd top CEM EPD bull to sell, meaning his daughters should be easy calving. + Dam T256 is a nicely-made Chairman daughter with a 358 day calving interval. Her sons work for Jay Engel and John Stender, and one daughter works in the Hoover herd. Jay’s bull was the 2 nd top weaning weight bull of his crop! + Pathfinder grandam R134 is a fertile cow with a 362 day calving interval on her 6 progeny. Progeny work for Kriss Lightner, Chance Benoit, Clifford Scott, and Todd Glendenning. Kriss’ bull was the 9 th top weaning weight bull of his crop. + The first two cows “off the pedigree” down the dam’s side were both highly productive cows that earned Pathfinder status! + If you’ve read many Hoover catalogs, you have undoubtedly read about ancestor G100. G100 was a soggy ole’ gal that was as good as they come. She produced until over 17 years of age, and the day she went to town, she walked just as smooth as what she did when she was half that age. She ended her career with a whopping 110 wean ratio on her progeny!
