+ B464 has lots of body and volume in an attractive package. He is a super slick haired bull for working well on fescue. + B464 is a “sleep tight, all night” type of bull to safely use on heifers. + Every time I see this bull, I think how he offers the Angus breed character that is so often lost as our breed uses more and more “extreme” genetics for growth and carcass traits. The General Lee progeny offer great breed character. + B464 was the second calf of dam V85. Her first calf injured his back at about a month of age, and did poorly – he walked funny, so we gave him the nickname “wobbles”. Regardless, his weaning weight suffered drastically because of his injury, thus pulling down V85’s weaning ratios. + V85 is an 18 th consecutive generation Blueblood Lady Ellston female to be bred, born, and raised by 4 generations of the Hoover family. This cow line has the most consecutive generations of cows of any line in the herd! + Between B464’s 3 rd and 8 th generation dams, there are five Pathfinder dams as you trace down the dam’s cow line – this is an extremely rare occurrence to have 5 out of 6 dams in a row earn the honor, and certainly a testament to their fertility and productivity! + Grandam M3, now owned by Bo Slovek in South Dakota, put 7 replacement daughters in the Hoover herd. M3’s greatest claim to fame was producing the $39,000 top-selling bull of our 2018 sale. + Pathfinder great grandam H118 has done a whale of a job. At 12 years of age, she raised the #1 weaning weight heifer of the entire crop at 798 pounds! How can we ask for more? Her 7 progeny have averaged over $12,000 – a whopping feat for a cow this age!

+ B429 is a large framed, eye-catching bull with lots of length. A Hoover-customer type of bull! We noticed while clipping him for pictures and in the picture pen that he is a super calm bull. + B429 was the 3 rd top weaning weight ET bull of his crop and the 2 nd top yearling weight bull! He offers the 2 nd highest WW EPD among the fall bulls selling as well as the #1 $F and #1 $B in the sale! B429 is a high growth bull to be used on cows. + Dam S86 is a 13 th generation Blackcap Empress female from Hoover Angus – this cow family is one of our most productive, profitable cow families in our history! + Check out S86’s powerhouse son in our spring crop – he sells as a feature, Lot 24. He tied as the 2 nd top weaning weight ET bull of his crop. You can sure tell the muscle, growth, and eye appeal S86 puts in her progeny! + S86 has had numerous photo feature progeny, and her sons and daughters work for Lane Stortenbecker, Melvin & Annette Warren, Pat Hardy, Richard Persinger, Tom McGinnis, and Jared Ernst. + The daughter of S86 working in the Hoover herd was the 5 th top weaning weight, 2 nd top ribeye scan and 8 th top IMF scan heifer of her crop! She has earned Pathfinder honors. + S86 embryos sold to Point Pleasant Angus in Virginia and to Four Sons Farms in Kentucky for $1750. + This pedigree traces back to the great C57 cow. C57 has 101 daughter descendants that have worked in the herd, as well as 9 that have served as donors and 18 Pathfinders! Truly a highly productive cow family running generations deep!

+ B510 is an attractive profiling, long bodied bull that is certainly doing well for being one of the youngest in the pen. + B510 is likely best suited for use on cows. + Dam V446 is a superior uddered, more moderate-sized 18 th generation Blueblood Lady Ellston to be bred, born, and raised by the Hoover family! This is the longest consecutive string of Hoover breeding of any cow family in the herd. V446’s second daughter has been retained in our herd. V446 has a 348 day calving interval on her first three progeny. + Beginning with great grandam M30 and tracing down the dam’s pedigree, 4 of these 5 cows have achieved Pathfinder honors – a tremendous accomplishment in consistency! + The bottom half of this pedigree combines four of the most powerful cow families ever at Hoover Angus – the Blueblood Lady Ellstons, the Blackcap Empress Ellstons, the Ericas (Hoover Dam’s cow family) and the Miss Blackcap Ellstons (No Doubt’s cow family). + Lot 94 shares a similar pedigree with B510 – both from the Blueblood cow family and sired by General Lee. Take them both home to cover a bigger pasture of cows!
