★ Ultrasound safe to Mogck Empire 110, due approximately February 27, 2025. ★ B206 is a long, deep, square made, yet feminine fronted heifer. She’s got an attractive profile, as very typical of the M38 progeny! ★ Pathfinder donor dam M38 is the highest indexing daughter of G366, the cow regarded as the best cow in our 97-year history! M38 was at one time the #1 indexing cow of the Hoover herd with the tremendous growth she puts into her calves. She served as a working donor until 11 years of age. The following is a very abbreviated list of highlights. ★ At 10 years of age, M38’s progeny and grand progeny led-off our 2023 sale catalog and included the 2 nd and 3 rd top-selling bulls of the sale! See several pictures of her progeny on the previous page. ★ M38 has been a fertile cow, recording a 355 day calving interval on her first 5 calves before we pulled her out of production for a year to flush her. She is an icon in the herd for her unbeatable depth of body and broodiness. She makes feminine daughters and masculine bulls. ★ M38’s daughters are following in her footsteps of being highly productive, fertile cows. Most famous is her R96 daughter – the dam of the great Erica of Ellston T220 cow who has now put several sons in bull studs and has gained recognition across the breed. R96 serves as the 3 rd top indexing cow of the Hoover herd with a superior 5-111 wean ratio on her progeny! ★ Another M38 daughter in our herd weaned the #1 adjusted weaning weight heifer calf of our 2023 crop! ★ One of M38’s daughters sold ½ interest to Mill Coulee Angus in Wisconsin. She was my favorite heifer of the crop – having a beautiful presence, and all the pieces necessary to become the next “great one” from the Erica cow family! ★ A full sister to M38 serves as a working Pathfinder donor in the Hoover herd. This cow, N54, has put one of her own Pathfinder daughters in the herd plus one daughter serving as a working donor. N54 has exported embryos to Australia. ★ Please read about Pathfinder donor grandam G366 in the box below. ★ The Ericas have been a dominant force of our top-end genetics for many years. They have proven themselves the hard way – the old-fashioned way – by progeny performance and success. Six of the past 8 years, sons of the Ericas have been the Lot 1 bulls in our sales. In our 2021 auction, of the 8 animals that hit the $20,000+ price tag, 6 of them were from the Erica cow family.

★ Ultrasound safe to Mogck Empire 110, due approximately February 21, 2025. ★ B120 is a classic Optics heifer – she is large framed with incredible length! ★ B120 tied as the 2 nd top weaning weight heifer of her crop and was the 2 nd top yearling weight heifer! See her and you will understand why! ★ B120 has the #2 highest WW, YW, and RADG EPD of any female selling today! She is one of 11 females selling with a Ribeye EPD over +1.00. ★ Pathfinder dam V46 gets the job done every year – she starts out with low birth weight calves with excellent, rapid growth. Her 2024 daughter was the 13 th top weaning weight heifer of her crop. ★ V46 also puts excellent ribeye size in her progeny – two sons have averaged a 15.3” ribeye and V46 is one of the top ribeye ratio cows of the herd. ★ Grandam L5 has brought 10 progeny to auction for Hoover Angus and averaged a whopping $24,100! Sons from Hoover Angus had tenure at three AI studs: Alta Genetics, Select Sires, and Accelerated Genetics. After a successful career at Hoover Angus, L5 was purchased by Baldridge Performance Angus. ★ L5 now has four Pathfinder daughters – two working Pathfinder donors in the Hoover herd; two in the Baldridge herd! This is an exceptionally rare feat! ★ Three other daughters of L5 have been flushed at Hoover Angus. ★ Great grandam G366 is regarded as the greatest cow in our 97-year history! ★ Superior udders run deep in this cow family. G366’s udder at over 12 years of age would rival most 3-4 year-old females in the breed today. Please see a picture of her udder and read about G366 below. Females Lots 108-112 and 167-173 all descend from G366 as well as embryos selling on page 76.

Erica of Ellston G366

+ Lots 108-112, 167-173 and 180-181 descend from the great Erica of Ellston G366 – she is the epitome of what a model Angus female should be! Five daughter descendants of G366 rank in the top 10 indexing cows of the herd! No cow family has ever had this much presence on this distinguished herd list before. + Four direct daughters of G366 have earned the Pathfinder designation, as well as at least 3 other descendants. At least 15 of her daughter descendants have served as donors, including the most recognized Hoover-bred female, Erica of Ellston T220, the dam of Bold Ruler. G366 grossed $238,000 worth of direct progeny sales, not including embryos sold. + Too numerous to mention are G366’s progeny that have found themselves in the very top of the crop for weaning weight. It is neat, however, that she had three-in-a-row #1 adjusted weaning weight calves of their respective crops. Even at 12 years of age, her growth genetics were still powerful, as an ET daughter was the #1 adjusted weaning weight ET heifer of her crop! + At the end of her career, G366 recorded 9-98 BWR and 9-107 WR on her natural calves.
