★ Ultrasound safe to Deep Creek Legitimate 203, due approximately March 15, 2025. ★ B25 is a really long, nice bodied heifer that has the look of a beautiful cow now! She is a gentle heifer. ★ B25 is one of 8 spring heifers bred to Legitimate, and from the superior Lady Ida cow family to boot! Over the past two decades, the Idas have produced some sale- topping bulls and females, and for good reason. ★ B25 is backed by an incredible four consecutive generations of Pathfinder dams! To put this into perspective, less than 1% of current Angus dams earn a spot in the Report in any given year. ★ B25’s Functional Longevity EPD (FL) is +1.16. ★ Dam S193 has sons working for repeat customers Brian Taglauer and Craig & Karri Miller, both long-time repeat customers. S193’s calf last year was born at an actual temp of -13 degrees (no heated calving barn), and she is one of the nicest calves of the crop! ★ S193 is a fertile cow with an excellent 359 day calving interval on her 6 calves. ★ Please read about Pathfinder grandam P63 and Pathfinder great grandam C164 in the footnote of Lot 114.

★ Ultrasound safe to Mead Mercury, due approximately February 27, 2025. ★ B149 is a tank! She has lots of body and volume along with fleshing ability to match. She looks like a cow already! B149 has a nice set of weights and ultrasound scan data. ★ We have noticed that B149 is a calm heifer when we work heifers through the chute. ★ B149’s Functional Longevity EPD (FL) is +1.19. Dam Z25 was a first calf heifer with B149, and I’d say she did a fine job! ★ Z25 now has a 358 day calving interval on her first two calves. Her next daughter sells as a feature open heifer, Lot 177. Like Z25’s dam and grandam, it appears that Z25 is marching right along towards Pathfinder status if she can keep up the great work with her next calf! ★ Pathfinder grandam P63 was a beautiful cow whose son and daughter to come to auction were both photo features, one to John Zutavern, and one to Dustin Enabnit, both repeat customers. P63 had a 355 day calving interval. ★ Pathfinder great grandam C164 is regarded as one of the herd’s all-time greats! She is likely one of the best 5 cows to ever be in production at Hoover Angus – from her fertility to her udder, and tremendous progeny, she nails it all. ★ C164 recorded 10-107 WR and a 362 day calving interval and had been flushed 5 different times. She had 28 progeny registered at Hoover Angus. At the end of her career, she had grossed over $186,000 on registered progeny sales (excluding embryo sales), with her 13 sons averaging over $10,000! C164’s top-selling son was the $56,000 Hoover Inspiration – the second top-selling bull in our history.
A tornado hit the town of Tingley in April and destroyed the community building - despite the building’s destruction, Old Glory stood nearly unscathed. Until a new community building can be built, the Hoover Angus sale facility has been utilized by the community for several events, including a Thanksgiving dinner that served 300 people (below)!
