★ Ultrasound safe to Deep Creek Legitimate 203, due approximately March 17, 2025. ★ B110 is a deep chested, wide based, attractive heifer with a really nice set of EPDs and performance data! She is a calm heifer, as well-reflected in her Docility EPD in the best 5% of the breed. ★ B110 offers one of the top YW EPDs of the females selling today! ★ Dam Z157 is the 4 th top indexing cow of the herd with a superior 2-111 wean ratio! Her second calf was the #1 weaning weight heifer of our 2024 crop! This young cow is getting the job done! ★ Grandam S245 has a 359 day calving interval indicating excellent fertility. Her daughter works in Arkansas for Don Williams and a son for Brice Erickson. One S245 daughter that was the 10 th top weaning weight heifer of her crop will be going into our replacement herd. ★ Great grandam J316 is 14 years old and currently the second oldest living cow in the Hoover herd. She has a 364 day calving interval! J316 has been a phenomenal daughter-maker and has four daughters in the Hoover herd ratioing an average 105 WR on their progeny, two of which are Pathfinders! ★ J316 was added to the donor pen this past fall because of her fertility, foot and udder quality, longevity, and ability to make superior daughters. An offering of her embryos is on page 77. ★ Longevity was present with J316’s dam and grandam, as they recorded 11 progeny with a 362 day calving interval and 14 progeny with a 359 day calving interval, respectively!

★ Ultrasound safe to Deep Creek Legitimate 203, due approximately March 15, 2025. ★ B121 is a low birth weight, long, deep bodied heifer. She is a 15 th generation Blueblood Lady Ellston female to be bred, born, and raised right here in Southern Iowa by the Hoover family. ★ B121’s Functional Longevity EPD (FL) is +1.19, and I believe she has the ability to be a long-lasting, very nice uddered cow well into old age. ★ Dam V203 is a fertile cow with a 355 day calving interval. Her first son works for Trent Deutmeyer. ★ Grandam M128 is 11 years old and still going strong with a superior udder! That’s what I call profitable! Her progeny work in 4 different states for Martens Angus Farms, Locust Grove Beef Cattle, Andrew Davis, Brad Ayers, Clay Howerton, and Ryan Knobbe. ★ Great grandam B93 was a small cow that always weaned a huge percentage of her body weight. Her 11 calves have come on a 363 day calving interval – that is exceptional fertility! ALL bred females selling in this sale will NOT require an A.I. certificate to be purchased by the new owner in order to register her calf. Females due with an A.I. calf are sold with A.I. breeding privilege to save you time and expense.
Hair Shed EPDs Hair shedding is an important trait for most Hoover Angus customers as the ability of cattle to slick their hair coat early in the summer helps mitigate the effects of heat stress and fescue toxicity. Early shedding positively impacts milk production, fertility, weaning weights, and ultimately your bottom line! Hoover Angus has submitted over 2500 hair shed scores over the past five years, and is one of the breed’s largest contributors to the database. Breed average Hair Shed (HS) EPD for non-parent bulls is +.50, with lower values being more favorable. Over half of this offering ranks in the best 1/3 of the breed for Hair Shed EPD or better!
