+ AI to Deep Creek Legitimate 203 on 12-2-24. + B431 is a really long bodied heifer that turned in the #1 weaning weight and #1 yearling weight in the fall ET heifer division! + B431 has the #1 WW EPD, #1 $F and #1 Ribeye EPD of the fall heifers! + Check out her flush brothers, Lots 89-90. Lot 89 was the #1 weaning weight and yearling bull not only of the ET calves of the crop, but the entire crop! + Pathfinder donor dam N431 is one of my all-time favorites! She is a beautiful, feminine, excellent uddered female that puts superior growth in her progeny! Numerous progeny of hers were among the top calves of their respective crops for weaning and or yearling weight. + This cow family has been one of the most prolific cow families at Hoover Angus where the Elbamere Queens can be counted on to bring in one of the very best calves of the crop each year. + An N431 daughter is raising her first calf in our fall herd now – she was the 2 nd cow to calve last fall. + N431’s fertility is exemplified by her 364 day calving interval on 7 calves before we pulled her out of production for one season to flush her. + N431’s progeny work for Shane Triggs, Darwin Germann, Jared Richman, Don Williams, John Palmer, and Mark Lents. + Grandam G461 – she’s 16 years old and still going strong! She is currently the oldest living cow at Hoover Angus. Her udder and foot quality remains exceptional!
The picture of her above was taken just shy of 16 years of age this past summer. What a cow! + G461 records a 360 day calving interval on her 14 calvings. G461 has put four replacement daughters in the Hoover herd. G461 was selected to be a donor as a 15 year-old cow because of her tremendous longevity, disposition, foot and udder quality, and progeny performance. + G461 was the #1 weaning weight heifer of her crop, and has raised 4 sons or daughters among the top 4 weaning weight calves of their respective crops at Hoover Angus!
