+ C91 is a meaty, rugged, beef bull with nice length of body. + C91 offers the 4 th highest WW EPD of any bull in the sale and ties with the 5 th top YW EPD! We recommend this growthy bull for use on cows. + Flush brother to Lot 1 – please see footnote there. Both bulls are IVF ET bulls, so regardless of their high performance, they ratio 100 at weaning.
+ C214 is a long bodied, slick haired bull. Check out his EPD package – it’s pretty solid! This bull that weaned at over 800 pounds is recommended for use on cows. + Dam X31 is a real nice uddered cow with a 368 day calving interval. My notes say she had really good mothering skills when she calved as a heifer. Even after twins in 2024, she bred right back and will calve earlier in 2025! + X31’s son works for Jacob Owen and her daughter for Douglas Hartwig. Jacob’s bull was the 4 th top IMF bull of his sale, and Doug’s heifer I remember for being super calm. + Pathfinder grandam P203 was an awesome cow with a 351 day calving interval and a superior 4-109 WR when she was lost in an accident. It was a heartbreak, as she was on the list of cows to flush that year! Her three sons to come to auction averaged $12,100 and sold to Grimmius Cattle Co., John Orr, and Rolling 7 Ranch Co., all repeat customers. + Great grandam M322 had numerous highly successful progeny, several of which were among the top weaning weight calves of their respective crops, including one #1 weaning weight bull! + Trace farther down the dam’s side of this pedigree, and you will find the grandmother of Hoover No Doubt! Lots 1-4 all stem from No Doubt’s cow family.

+ C31 is a super thick, rugged, rancher’s type of bull that is suitable for use on heifers or cows. He lost his mom prior to weaning time, so his weaning weight is certainly depressed from his genetic potential. + C31 has the highest CEM EPD of any bull selling as well as ties as the 4 th top $Maternal bull! + If you are looking for a bull sire nice weaning growth but not get daughters that get too big in your herd, check out C31. Genomics predict his daughters to have moderate mature weights. + Dam T9, a second generation Pathfinder, may have a daughter that earns Pathfinder honors this spring! T9’s daughter in the Hoover herd is doing an excellent job. She was the 5 th top yearling weight heifer of her crop and has high growth calves herself. + T9’s other progeny work for Todd Glendenning, Lynden Smith and Jonathan Ernst. Lynden’s heifer was the #1 weaning weight heifer of her crop and Lynden sends good reports. + Shortly after earning Pathfinder status, grandam N70 was purchased by Dixie Valley Ranch for $70,000, the top-selling female to ever leave Hoover Angus. N70 produced two sons averaging $8375 prior to leaving Ellston, Iowa. + A flush sister to N70, the N58 cow, has had an extremely successful career thus far. Her 12 progeny have averaged over $10,000! N58’s featured son sells as Lot 1. Please read in his footnote about great grandam J2. + A Pathfinder flush sister to N70 sold to Wall Street Cattle Co. for $27,500.

+ C17 is a bigger framed, rugged, really long bull. He is recommended for use on heifers or cows. + C17 has one of the top $Maternal Values of any bull in the sale! + A grandson of G366! This is about as close as you will get to the great G366 cow! Read highlights about G366 in the box on page 7. + Dam X13 is a superior uddered young cow with a 346 day calving interval – one of the shortest in the Hoover herd! X13 stuck first service AI as a heifer, then moved up 2 weeks for her second calf, then moved up three weeks for her third calf! Fertility is the #1 profitability factor in a cow-calf herd – cows that calve early in the season bring in your biggest pay weight, and open cows are a big expense! + X13’s first son tied as the 7 th top weaning weight bull of his crop. Her next son works for repeat customer David Hansen. + X13 had a phenomenal scan – a 10.74 IMF, ratio 193, ribeye 11.8”, ratio 102. According to my calculations, she is one of the top two IMF scanning heifers in our history!
