Gwen & Ty sing the Star Spangled Banner at Finals
+ C191 is a moderate sized, square-made female that won’t get too big as a mature cow. As I am writing this footnote in early November, she is already cycling! + C191 has the 2 nd highest $Maternal and 2 nd highest Scrotal EPD of the open heifers selling. + Dam A153 is an exceptional uddered young cow, and C191 was her first calf. A153 settled first service AI as a heifer, and did so again as a wet two year-old. She will calve even earlier in 2025. A153 is one of the last three G366 daughters to be born at Hoover Angus. The legacy of the great G366 cow lives on! Open heifer Lots 169-173 all stem from G366 as well as numerous bulls in this sale. This footnote is short because I’m not going to re-type all of my Erica notes, I’m going to send you to read about G366 on page 47 and read about her daughter descendants successes in the footnotes of Lots 169-171!

+ C113 is a super long bodied heifer from the famous Erica cow family! + C113 offers the #1 WW EPD among the open heifers selling as well as the best PAP EPD among all sale females – important if you raise cattle in the mountains. + Dam Z447 was a first calf heifer with C113. + Z447 was the third top weaning weight heifer of her crop. + Grandam T462 has earned Pathfinder status and is one of our top cows – in fact, she is the herd’s 9 th top indexing cow! Her two sons work for R&S Angus and repeat customer Mark Anderson. Her daughter that was the 5 th top weaning weight heifer of her crop works for repeat customer Martens Angus Farms. + As typical of the Ericas, T462 is a fertile cow with a 363 day calving interval. + Great grandam P445 served as a working donor before becoming a donor for Justin Helgerson. + Fourth generation dam is the great L5 cow – she is the grandam of the featured Lot 171 heifer – please read about her there. L5’s dam is of course the great G366 cow – read about her page 47. Open heifer Lots 169-173 are all descendants of G366!
