+ C189 is a level topped, long bodied heifer. C189 is a 16 th generation Blackcap Empress Ellston female to be bred, born, and raised by the Hoover family! + C189 is the lowest BW EPD, highest CED and CEM EPD open heifer selling! + Dam R158 is a low birth weight, fertile cow with a 362 day calving interval on her 7 calves. Her progeny work for Sydenstricker Genetics, Todd Glendenning, and Lowell Pettit, all repeat customers. + R158 is one of the top 15 IMF ratio cows in the herd with a superior 4-124 IMF ratio! + C189 offers a little different pedigree for most of our repeat customers – a great choice if you already have Hoover herd sires to breed her to!

+ C207 is a moderate sized, level topped heifer with a pretty, classic Angus head. Look at the BW EPD to WW EPD spread on this gal! + Dam A272 was a first calf heifer with C207 that settled first service AI, and did so again for her 2025 calf. + Grandam X80 is a young cow too who produced an $8000 son for Keller Angus Farms last year – he was a thick dude! Her 2024 son of the same breeding sells as Lot 67. X80 maintains an excellent 358 day calving interval. + Great grandam T261 produced a $19,000 son in our 2024 sale to Fast Angus & Strommen Cattle Company – one of several bulls to go to breeders in the Dakotas. We stopped by Fast & Strommen on our summer vacation to see the bull, and he came right up to us in the pasture and let us scratch him. What a great disposition bull! + Keep tracing down the dam’s side in this pedigree past T261, and you will find several more superior cows – two of the next three generations have earned Pathfinder honors, including the great E298 cow – she was one of the greatest of her day! Business Longevity Only about 30% of family businesses survive into the second generation, 12% are still viable into the third generation, and only about 3% operate into the fourth generation or beyond. Hoover Angus Family: 169 Years of Family Farmed Ground (Landi is a 6 th generation Hoover to farm in Ellston) 97 Years of Quality Angus Cattle (Landi is a 4 th generation Angus breeder from the Hoover family)

+ C79 has that pretty General Lee look to her. She is a calm heifer that doesn’t get in a hurry – she would be a great 4-H project for a youngster! + C79 offers the #1 Scrotal EPD in today’s sale and ties as the #1 Docility EPD open heifer! + A beautiful full sister sells as Lot 114 – this is a model Angus female that has that momma cow look already! + Dam Z25 was a first calf heifer with Lot 14, and C79 is her second calf. I think I need my head examined for letting both of her first two daughters go! + Z25 now has a 358 day calving interval on her first two calves. Like Z25’s dam and grandam, it appears that Z25 is marching right along towards Pathfinder status if she can keep up the great work with her next calf! She is due to calve nearly a month earlier in 2025, so it is looking good! + Pathfinder grandam P63 was a beautiful cow whose son and daughter to come to auction were both photo features, one selling to John Zutavern, and one to Dustin Enabnit, both repeat customers. P63 had a 355 day calving interval. + Pathfinder great grandam C164 is likely one of the best 5 cows to ever be in production at Hoover Angus – from her fertility to her udder, and tremendous progeny, she nails it all. + C164 recorded 10-107 WR and a 362 day calving interval and had been flushed 5 different times. She had 28 progeny registered at Hoover Angus. At the end of her career, she had grossed over $186,000 on registered progeny sales (excluding embryo sales), with her 13 sons averaging over $10,000! C164’s top-selling son was the $56,000 Hoover Inspiration – the second top-selling bull in our history.
