Life-Changing Fast Track
Sometimes it is one step forward and two steps back. As you refer customers, not everyone who hears about Melaleuca will recognize the impact Melaleuca can have on their lives. Sometimes you may hear “no.” Remember, “no” simply means, “Not now. I need more information.” The path to success is strewn with nos. Those who end up in victory are those who did not let the nos defeat them. All champions know and understand that victory comes from overcoming failure. That is why it is so important to celebrate success and to encourage each other. Not every day will be successful. Victory comes from following through with commitment. When we follow through on our commitments, we have cause to celebrate regardless of the result. And we need to have the confidence that we will end up on top if we continue to follow through with making contacts and doing presentations. Every Corporate Director knows that. As our mission to enhance lives bears fruit, I never tire of hearing people’s stories. I have heard thousands of stories about how Melaleuca has helped people reach their lifelong goals. I love hearing stories of the lives changed by superior products, of people getting healthier, and of people getting out of debt. Those stories get me out of bed each morning. They are why I come to work every day. Every story is different. I learn so much from them. I love the ones where people overcame hardship— when they fell down and got back up, when they stayed in the race even under the most trying of circumstances. I learn from these stories. I learn I can do better. I can work harder. I can help one more person. Over the years, I have learned a lot about the concepts of success and progress. I have learned that success occurs one step at a time. Sometimes it is two steps forward and one step back.
