Because they are based on each student’s particular circumstances, there is a variety of financial aid sources, and some financial aid offers can vary year to year as those circumstances change. To find out our more, visit: studentaid.gov/h/understand-aid/ how-aid-works However, we can give you a quick look at the stories of three students, their unique situations and the financial aid that will help them earn degrees that can elevate their current careers or assist them in starting new ones.

Say Hello to Flavia. After getting her bachelor’s degree in business, Flavia went to work for a major airline, starting as a passenger service agent. She loves her job, her company and family. In 10 years, she worked her way up to become a shift supervisor. But Flavia wants to get her MBA in Aviation so she can be eligible for bigger promotions and more rewarding work. Her airline offers limited tuition reimbursement, so our counselors helped Flavia by offering a variety of financial aid sources to help pay for her college.

Meet Lamar. His family situation compelled Lamar to start working as a trainee in an airline maintenance shop when he was in high school. He’s been working his way up ever since, earning money to help his mother and sisters, and also putting some aside toward his dream of becoming an aviation maintenance manager where he works. Now 27, Lamar will pursue a B.S. in Aviation Maintenance as he takes another step to reach that goal. Embry-Riddle’s online programs provide the flexibility he needs and a financial aid offer that explains the types and amounts of aid available.

This is Bradley. Bradley joined the U.S. Army straight out of high school. Over the past 15 years, he became a Logistics Specialist. Now, Bradley wants to get his B.S. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and start his civilian career. Embry-Riddle’s financial counselors helped put together a financial aid offer that included grants, loans and leveraged the benefits Bradley earned during his service.
