Viking Views 2025

The 2024 induction class into the Missouri Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame featured five individuals and one team. The individuals inducted: Parker Towery ’95, an All-American tight end for the Vikings football team, and member of the 1994 Heart championship and 1994 NAIA Football Championship Series team. Jervon Walton ’01, an All-American running back for the Vikings football team. A Heart of America Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year award winner, was part of the 1999 Heart championship and NAIA Football Championship Series team. Jeremy Biddle ’01, an individual National champion and three-time All-American men’s wrestler. Won an individual title at 141 pounds in 2000 and was a member of the 1997 National championship team. Lacey (Moore) Sturdy ’04, the first women’s rodeo inductee into the MVC Athletic Hall of Fame. All-american in goat tying and a two- time Ozark Region champion in goat tying. Ramone Powell ’07, an All-American for the men’s basketball team. Been part of the program from more than 20 years, as a player, scoring 608 points during the 2004-05 season, and as a coach. 1989 Football Team was led by legendary Head Coach Ken Gibler, and finished 10-2 with an undefeated Heart championship and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NAIA Football Championship Series. Seven members of the team have been inducted as individuals into the MVC Athletic Hall of Fame.
