About the Scholarship Dr. Grace Hendel received her master's and doctorate in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of MN. From 1971 until her retirement in 1995, Dr. Hendel was a professor of Food and Nutritional Science at UW-Stevens Point. She served as head of the graduate Nutritional Science program. Dr. Hendel generously volunteered her professional skills as a Consulting Dietitian for the Portage County, WI Department of Aging-Nutrition Program. This scholarship was established by the friends, family, and colleagues of Grace Hendel in 1996 to honor her at the time of her retirement. sustainability efforts such Campus Community Gardens Project where mushrooms are inoculated and grown on the roof of the Chemistry Biology Building. Trevor hopes to use his degree in dietetics to open a private practice.
