Dr. Agnes A. Jones Scholarship JENNA TIMM
About the Scholarship Dr. Jones was head of the UWSP Department of Home Economics from 1956-81. During Jones’s tenure, home economics was upgraded from a department to a school. The program was the first in the state and 10th in the nation to be accredited by the American Home Economics Association. UWSP awards one scholarship in her honor to interior architecture, dietetics or family & consumer sciences students who demonstrate leadership, professional potential, ambition, academic achievement, good character, and concern for others–all qualities that can be said about Dr. Jones. Jenna is a dietetics major and is minoring in biology. She is a Marshfield Clinic Health System Health Scholar who helps address healthcare inequities by connecting patients to local resources according to their needs. Jenna works as a boot camp fitness instructor and hopes to become a sports dietitian for a professional NFL team.
