About the Scholarship The UWSP Health Scholars Program creates the next generation of healthcare leaders by training students in relevant experiences, pivotal community service opportunities, and significant professional development activities. The Scholars Program is highly selective, admitting 10 students each spring semester for a two-year program. Selected students have high academic performance, demonstrated commitment to rural community needs, and a strong interest in a career in healthcare. Claire is a dietetics major who will begin her first year as a Health Scholar in the fall.
