Hint from B 2

Process B & B aluminium is especially suited to cover objects (boxes) or small wooden or cardboard shapes. Before engraving, cover the object with aluminium, inserting a thick layer of newsprint (as a pad) under the surface to be engraved. The newsprint will permanently remain under the aluminium sheet. Engrave with a pointed instrument or a blunt-lead pencil. Once the engraving is completed, cover the surface with a coat of Indian ink. Before the ink is dry, wipe it off with a cloth, in such a way that it stays only in the grooves. Indian ink applied to metals gives them the patina of old metal and generally outlines shapes. Engraved or embossed metals can be painted with stained-glass enamel, if transparent effects are desired, or with ceramic hobby colours, if you want an opaque colour. Metals can also be coloured with permanent markers.
