reflects the place, its people, and the power of light in dark places. Think history heritage buildings, stories through soundscapes, and lightworks designed to illustrate the spirit of place. Surrounding each projection, locals are creating even more reasons to visit, pop-up tastings, night walks, twilight markets, solstice feasts, underground didgeridoo performances, and late-night fireside yarns. The whole region is rugging up and bringing winter to life in ways that are unmistakably Tasmanian. Here’s how the season rolls out: May 15–18 Stanley & Tarkine Forage Festival | Stanley A four-day feast of wild flavours, long tables and local producers. Think forest meets the coast on a plate. June 19–22 Light up the West |Strahan Solstice Light & Sound Show : Port to Post | Strahan Post Office A tribute to connection, conflict and community. Solstice swims and feasts, night walks, markets. June 27–29 Light up the West | Colours of Queenstown Light & Sound Show : Beyond the Forest | Paragon Theatre A cinematic light journey of resilience and renewal, projected onto the bones of an iconic art deco building.
