Each nominated town prepares a number of elements as part of the submission process, including an overview of the town (including target market and how they demonstrate commitment to tourism); a travel/ tourism-focused website showcasing the town and its tourism operators; a feature-style editorial article; a short video showcasing the town, and a travel itinerary. Nominations have now closed, with towns from all four regions having been put forward. A public vote will commence from mid-May to mid-June and all local businesses are encouraged to vote, as well as to share and support the voting process to help your town be recognised. Brought to you in 2025 by Bishopp Outdoor Advertising, the winning town in each category receive a marketing package valued at over $20,000, including a significant interstate outdoor advertising campaign generously provided by Bishopp, promoting their status as a Top Tourism Town to both local and interstate visitors. This year’s Tassie’s Top Tourism Towns will be announced at the evening event as part of the Tasmanian Tourism Conference, along with the winner of the inaugural Tassie Tour Guide Award.
