L’équipe de volleyball masculine de l’École secondaire publique Le Sommet accédera au championnat de l’Association athlétique des écoles secondaires de l’Est ontarien (EOSSAA) à Renfrew le 19 novembre prochain. L’équipe s’est classée première au classement de la catégorie simple A, et ce, malgré la défaite en 5 sets subie contre l’école L’Escale de Rockland, puisque cette dernière est classée double A. L’équipe du Sommet s’est vu remporter les deux premiers sets 25-21 et 25-20, mais L’Escale a remonté la pente en gagnant les 3 derniers sets 12-25, 18-25 et 9-15. « C’était un travail d’équipe. Ils ont tous bien joué. Nicolas Lâbre, capitaine et passeur de l’équipe, s’est démarqué et a bien dirigé son équipe », amentionnéMélissa Bellemare, enseignante en éducation physique à l’école Le Sommet.
