The Beachwood Police Department will initiate community education efforts for both intentional and unintentional firearm injuries and deaths. This initiative highlights the city’s proactive approach to protecting children and adolescents from preventable firearm related injuries. Beachwood aims to create a safer community for all families The Beachwood Police Department is becoming reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), which means it adheres to the highest standards in law enforcement and values transparency with the community. The department has also added 10 FLOCK Safety Cameras, which use license plate recognition technology and connect to a larger regional network. This helps officers prevent and respond to crimes more effectively.
