If you follow us on social media, you’ll understand that although we take our cases very seriously, we do not take ourselves seriously. We love to laugh, and there is nothing we love to laugh at more than lawyers! (If you don’t follow us, what are you waiting for? We post good stuff, not stuffy lawyerish stuff!) This doesn’t just extend to our social media pages; if you ever read our website, most of our pages start with a lawyer joke. Find us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as we bring back a previous fan favorite: Strange Lawyer Stories! It’s cringy and awful, sometimes unethical, and sometimes just pure ignorant. Here is a preview of one we posted from back in 2017: Most lawyers do not like to hear that their order for a client is sitting on the judge’s desk, waiting to be signed. Unfortunately, this happens from time to time, but most of us know the drill and do what we can while waiting. Judges, like busy lawyers, have schedules and other pressing matters to attend to, so reviewing the matter and signing orders may take some time. Attorney Jose Camacho got tired of waiting and took matters into his own hands. Camacho had just been sentenced to 364 days in jail and 10 years of probation for forging the signatures of multiple judges. Camacho got caught when Judge Marina Garcia-Wood noticed a document with her signature that was dated while she was out of town. Oops. Needless to say, you can’t forge a judge’s signature and get away with it!
