FRATERNAL LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE Brother Burrell was initiated in 1988 at the University of Southern Mis- sissippi Chapter, the Kappa Iota of Kappa Alpha Psi®, where he served as Polemarch and Membership Intake Chairman. He continues to support his undergraduate chapter, serving as the Undergraduate Advisory Committee Chairman through the Hattiesburg Alumni Chapter. Burrell’s professional career in ath- letic training has been groundbreaking. His first role was as a graduate assistant at Southeastern Louisiana University, followed by becoming the first head athletic trainer at Alcorn State Univer- sity in 1992. In 1995, he was selected from 400 candidates for one of two assistant athletic trainer positions with the

Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL). His rep- utation in sports medicine continued to rise, and he currently serves as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Wash- ington Redskins (now Washington Commanders). Burrell holds athletic trainer licenses in Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Virginia. While in Florida, he was appointed twice to the state’s Board of Athletic Trainers, responsible for regulating the profession. CURRENT ROLE AND PERSONAL LIFE As Executive Director, Brother Burrell is leading Kappa Alpha Psi into a new era of growth, innovation, and excellence. His emphasis on strategic partnerships, alumni engagement, and digital advancements ensures that the fraternity continues its legacy of

achievement in every field of human endeavor. He remains dedicated to mentorship and family, with two nephews, Jordan and Darnell, and two godsons, Dallas and Rodney. The role of Executive Secretary/ Director has been instrumental in shaping Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Each leader has left a unique imprint, helping to expand mem- bership, strengthen finances, and develop impactful community service initiatives. Their collective efforts have solidified Kappa Alpha Psi’s standing as one of the most influential historically Black fraternities, continuing to uplift and inspire generations of men com- mitted to service and achievement. ♦
