HOW KAPPA ALPHA PSI EXECUTIVES UPHOLD THE MISSION The fraternity’s leadership stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment to achievement, brotherhood, and service.
As key figures within the International Headquarters (IHQ) work to maintain and enhance the organization’s legacy, their dedication to collaboration, financial stewardship, risk management, and member engagement reflect the frater- nity’s core values. Daren Brantley, Deputy Executive Director of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, underscores the importance of collective decision-making. “I try to involve staff members here at IHQ in decision-making to the extent possible. I understand as a leader, I do not have all the answers and believe it is important to elicit other ideas and opinions when making important decisions. I believe this aligns with the concept of training for leader- ship.” This leadership philosophy extends
across departments, ensuring that all members of the organization play an active role in shaping its future. Similarly, Gershom Davis, Director of Finance, fosters a culture of em- powerment within his department. “My approach has always been to lead with a leadership style that focuses on serving others and prioritizing their needs over my own. When all team members are empowered, supported, and encour- aged, only then can the team
uphold the funda- mental purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi— achievement.”
