A aron T. Hackett (Iota Delta 1991) peace- fully entered the Chapter Invisible on March 14, 2024. Aaron Tomas Hackett was born on May 8, 1970, to Bruce and Tress Hackett on Clark Air Base, in Angeles City, Philippines. He was the oldest of three siblings, brother Darrel (Mu Rho 1991) and sister Lisa. Hackett attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He later earned a M.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He attended Stanford University Gradu- ate School of Business with his brother Darrel where they both earned an MBA. Initially, Hackett worked for several years as an engineer and IT professional at Bechtel National . Hebe- gan his marketing career at Procter & Gamble as an Assistant Brand Manager before moving to ConAgra. In 2010, Hackett joined the oneCare Company as Senior

Marketing Director and rose to Vice President of Market- ing and General Manager. At oneCare, Hackett helped leading organizations launch successful new product ini- tiatives, fix underperforming brands, and leverage digital marketing to efficiently build revenue. Most recently, Hackett served as Chief Marketing Officer at Sawa Credit Inc., a mis- sion-driven startup focused on building equality in credit and lending. Since 2013, Hackett also served as a Professor of the Practice at Georgia
Tech’s Scheller College of Business, where he taught Strategic Brand Manage- ment courses for MBA and undergraduate students. While at Georgia Tech, Hackett earned Student Recognition of Excellence in Teaching Awards. As an engineer-turned-mar- keter, he was also active in Georgia Tech’s CREATE-X initiative, where he taught Startup Lab and coached startup founders. As a coach for CREATE-X, he collabo- rated with startup founders to help them balance their technological solutions with
consumer needs.
Hackett served as the marketing committee chair for the Atlanta Interna- tional School (AIS) Board of Trustees, which is a private, non-profit, international IB World School for grades 3K-12, featuring full and dual-immersion language programs. A Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Brother Aaron T. Hackett is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ingrid, and their children, Nadia, Naomi, and Aaron Jr., as well as his parents, siblings, and their families. ♦
