DID YOU KNOW?

Washington's Birthday, also known as Presidents' Day, is a federal holiday in the United States, celebrated on the third Monday of February each year in part to provide workers with more three- day weekends. It originally honored George Washington, the first President of the United States, but over time, the holiday has become a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents.

While it started as a celebration of Washington, Presidents' Day has become a broader celebration of the office of the President of the United States. It's seen as a day to honor all presidents, especially

Washington and Abraham Lincoln (whose birthday is February 12).

Presidents' Day is widely recognized as a day for sales and discounts across the country, especially in retail stores, making it a busy shopping day. It’s also a day when many people take a long weekend for a short vacation or to relax.
