We raised so much noise that Holtec had to delay its dumping day from May to later in the summer — the first step in our bigger fight to stop this plan altogether.

And together, we successfully urged the New York State Senate and Assembly to pass the Save the Hudson bill, which would ban radioactive waste dumping into the Hudson. And in August Governor Hochul signed the bill into law. Because of you, we defeated Holtec’s outrageous plan. Efforts to restore and protect the Hudson River have a long and storied history, and helped launch the environmental movement nationally. Thank you for keeping the movement going strong!
