West Chester, PA — Archer & Buchanan Ar- chitecture, Ltd. , an award- winning architecture firm spe- cializing in residential and in- stitutional design, is pleased to announce that Derek Stoner has joined the firm.

Stoner has seven years’ expe- rience with builders and archi- tecture firms in the Lancaster area, specializing in custom- designed homes. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Judson Univer- sity with a concentration in Traditional Architecture and Urbanism, and studied in Italy and France, which greatly in- fluenced his passion for classi- cal architecture. At Archer &Buchanan, Ston- er will be working on a new 4,500 s/f private home and barn in West Chester. The first floor of the barn will have stalls for three horses, a tack room, three-car garage and private office. The second floor will fea- ture a two-bedroom guest suite. A resident of Akron, PA, Stoner is particularly inter- ested in creating community through architecture. “Wheth- er that community is as small as a single house or as large as a city or town,” he notes, “I believe that community can best be accomplished by being respectful to those who have gone before us, through understanding the context of each and every project.” Currently celebrating 20 years of practice, Archer & Buchanan Architecture, Ltd. is an award-winning architecture firm known for timeless design, attention to detail and exqui- site craftsmanship.
