99.5 % OF WATER used for truck washes was recycled, equaling WATER RECYCLING Truck washes constitute our largest source of water consumption. Nearly all of this water is returned to local water supplies after the removal of chemical, biological, physical, and thermal contamination. 39,518,290 GALLONS
ELECTRIC AND ALTERNATIVE FUEL FORKLIFTS We have transitioned 100% of our forklift fleet to alternative fuel sources such as electric power and propane – reducing fossil fuel emissions, while also lowering our overall energy consumption. Reduced CO 2 e emissions by millions of pounds, including: 13.2 MILLION POUNDS specifically from electric forklifts kWh 201,169 of electric vehicles (forklift + yard truck demo)
ULTRA-LOW-SULFUR DIESEL (ULSD) Averitt has transitioned to 100% ultra-low-sulfur diesel in all diesel-powered equipment. ULSD has a significantly lower sulfur content than traditional diesel, which helps to reduce the emissions of sulfur dioxide and particulate matter. SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED EMISSIONS OF PARTICULATE MATTER AND NITROGEN OXIDES RENEWABLE FUELS INITIATIVE We’re actively adopting renewable diesel across our fleet wherever possible. This results in far fewer greenhouse gas emissions and a significantly lower carbon footprint. GALLONS BIODIESEL 864,084 (Biogenic emissions) GALLONS RENEWABLE DIESEL 855,421 (Biogenic emissions)
RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY
MWh 2,453 of renewable electricity, representing
11 % OF ELECTRICITY USE
ON-SITE BIODIESEL Our on-site fueling stations use exclusively 10% biodiesel (B10), a renewable fuel made from natural sources such as vegetable oils and animal fats. 10 % REDUCTION in greenhouse gas emissions
PAPER REDUCTION Through digital tools and streamlined work- flows, we’ve substantially decreased our use of paper. We also recycle paper waste to further minimize our environmental impact. 31,305 POUNDS OF PAPER recycled
