The following policies and procedures help ensure associates continue to grow and have the opportunity to achieve their career goals: Orientation: Averitt provides an orientation program for new associates. Various career development opportunities based on the associate’s skills, experiences, and performances are also available. Career Opportunities: All new full-time associates undergo training for career management and expectations. Additionally, associate performance is regularly assessed and promotions and opportunities are given based on performance and ability to complete the job. Length of service will be considered as part of an individual’s qualifications but may not be the sole determinant of promotion or transfer decisions. Leadership Development Opportunities: Many of Averitt’s leaders have grown from within. Averitt supports the growth of future leaders through a variety of internal development programs, including leadership training and career-pathing resources. Job Opportunities Hotline: Averitt regularly posts career opportunities for internal transfer and promotion on our company intranet, InsideAveritt.com. This site contains information about position openings, instructions for applying for the position, and career programs. KPIs: As part of Averitt’s performance reviews, goals are set for miles/stop, stops/trip, stops/hour. Each facility receives detailed daily data on these KPIs and individual driver performance is compared to KPIs. Averitt also has goals for service, quality (i.e., claims), etc. Training Program List: Averitt has an extensive list of training to improve associate skills. 100% of associates receive feedback from KPIs.
