Agri-Business Committee and Expo The Farm and Ranch Expo is sponsored and organized by the Agri- business Commit tee. Over 120 booths are lined up to bring you the most innovative Agriculture ideas for your future plans. The Farm and Ranch Expo is held each year during the first week of February. Ambassadors The North Plat te Ambassadors support the programs and efforts of North Plat te Area Chamber of Commerce & Development Corporation, working to build and maintain, within the Chamber, sufficient manpower and finances to allow the advancement of its programs and efforts. Activities of the Ambassadors include the following: • Meet and greet persons and groups from industry, business and government as well as dignitaries that visit the City of North Plat te. • At tend and represent the North Plat te Chamber & Development Corporation at open house events of North Plat te and Lincoln County businesses. • Represent the North Plat te Chamber & Development at area parades. • Make periodic calls on all North Plat te Area Chamber & Development Members • Ambassador Patron Party and the Ambassador Golf Classic Economic Development Committee Provide assistance and support for recruitment of new businesses to our community and county. Governmental Affairs Provides a forum for local, state, and national legislative and regulatory issues. Hostesses The Hostesses support the North Plat te Area Chamber of Commerce and Development Corporation, they work to build and maintain membership and financial resources to support and promote these programs. The activities of the Hostesses include the following: • Meet and greet individuals and groups from industry, business and government that visit the North Plat te area. • At tend and represent the Chamber at Open House events of area business/industry. • Make periodic calls on Chamber members and serve as liaison between such members and the Chamber Board. • Contribute support and sponsorship each year to NebraskaLand Days activities. Leadership Lincoln County Vision: To strengthen our community one person at a time by providing experiences to increase awareness and stimulate involvement. MEMBERSHIP
Leadership Lincoln Count y focuses on challenges that relate to the business communit y and the future direction of Lincoln Count y. This program st rives to develop a pool of knowledgeable and inf luential individuals who will bet ter ser ve their organizations and provide an expanded source for which to draw civic leadership. The class meets one day a month for ten consecutive months beginning in August and ending in May with a graduation program. Vision: To Create strength in the workplace by developing individuals in a professional set ting. Contact cassie@nparea.com Economic Development Economic Development Growth Fund Many of our members choose to be partners in the economic development of our area by contributing to the Economic Development Incentive Fund. These funds are used as seed capital for business Development and expansion of existing businesses in the North Plat te area. These private dollars fromour member businesses allowNorth Plat te to remain competitive against other areas when recruiting new businesses or when helping current businesses grow. Incentives are awarded based on amount of investment in the community, level of wages which will be offered and the number of employees that will be hired or retained.
