Celebrations were held across the district to mark International Day of the Midwife.

Midwives at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai and Royal North Shore hospitals took part in award ceremonies, morning teas and games which were held to honour the work of midwives. This year’s theme for International Day of the Midwife was: Midwives: Critical in Every Crisis. NSLHD Chief Executive Anthony Schembri acknowledged the exceptional impact midwives have in society.
