NSLHD staff support Dignity’s food relief

Staff have made an incredible contribution supporting people at risk of homelessness through generous donations.
Dignity, NSLHD’s official workplace giving partner, focuses on prevention, crisis response, and long-term housing solutions. Between January and June 2025, over 3,140 meals were prepared, over 50 food relief hampers and 1,080 kilograms of produce were provided to people.
Meals were provided in collaboration with Dom’s Place in Hornsby and Link Wentworth in West Ryde. Staff across NSLHD also donated two pallets of donations through Dignity’s Winter Warmer Campaign. The program supported around 1,400 people, including a father of five who had to leave work due to illness. Dignity National Partnerships Manager Sherin Fishwick said the food relief had been invaluable to families experiencing tough times.
“Every year, I am taken aback by the generosity of your community and the
fact that we could not do what we do without it, so I would like to thank every employee, volunteer, and community member who donates,” she said.
