2nd Annual Celebration of Literacy

Dear students, families, educators, and esteemed guests,

It is with great pride and admiration that we welcome you to the 2nd Annual Uplifting Literacy Celebration—an event dedicated to honoring the hard work, perseverance, and academic growth of our exceptional students. Today, we shine a well-deserved spotlight on those who have made remarkable strides in their literacy journeys, as evidenced by their impressive Lexile score improvements and performance across other key academic assessments. To our outstanding students: Congratulations on your unwavering determination, resilience, and commitment to excellence. You have shown that when effort meets opportunity, progress is inevitable. Your success is not only measured in scores, but in your growing confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking—qualities that form the foundation of lifelong learning. Your achievements speak to your inner strength and also reflect the steadfast support of your families, dedicated educators, and caring school community. Reading is more than a skill—it is a gateway. It allows you to gather information, apply knowledge, and build deeper understanding. With that understanding comes power—the power to shape your future, pursue your dreams, and uplift others around you. Let this celebration mark not an end, but a beginning. A beginning of unlimited possibilities that come with being informed, thoughtful, and engaged citizens of the world. Continue to read, to think critically, and to reach ever higher. This is just the start of your journey, and we have no doubt that you will continue to soar.

Congratulations on your outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of you—and we believe in you.

With admiration and encouragement,

sabrina hill Member District -7
