Exam tip: Reading and Writing, Part 6 Read the text quickly first to understand the main idea. Think about what kind of word is missing in each gap. For example, is it: • a verb ( is, are, has )? • a preposition ( in, on, up )? • a linking word ( but, when )? Read the sentence with the gap more than once. Do you understand the main idea?
