STUDENT REFLECTIONS
The process of putting our performance of Hard Knock Life together was a super fun and amazing process, we had all the students in 7/8C split into a small group and choreograph a little section each and then we pieced those sections together and made a whole dance. All the students in my class got involved in choreographing some of the dance. This dance specifically was extra fun because we had buckets as props which was awesome. I love the way everyone worked together to create our performance. I can't wait to get on stage and show everyone what we all came up with and I hope everyone enjoys the performance. Mia C, Year 7 Term 3 has been very exciting as we got the chance to choreograph our own dance. Most of the Year 9 dance class has worked together to create our dance piece for the upcoming event - Curtain Call which we are delighted to showcase what we ’ ve created. The process of creating our dance has been tricky with improvising and making sure we chose the right moves, but after lots of practice and team effort, we are excited to step on stage. Performing makes me feel extremely thrilled to present our dance to the audience where their energy is amazing to feel whilst on stage. Carmel S, Year 9 Curtain Call has been one of the best experiences I ’ ve had this year. Watching all the dances put together and being able to help create dances for others to perform and enjoy has been an absolute pleasure. Seeing the smiles in my Year 9 dance class when doing a dance or learning has been amazing. People have come out of their shells and evolved these past few months. A couple of other things that I ’ ve enjoyed was being given the opportunity to be in a trio and help choreograph some of the Primary Campus dances alongside Miss. Freind and my friend Carmel. Another thing I liked being a part of was one of the vocal groups. This whole experience has allowed me to share the things I love to do with others. Somma MT, Year 9
