K ada je srpski sport u pitanju, jedno je si- gurno – odbojkašice se vraćaju sa meda- ljom sa svakog velikog takmičenja! Na Evropskom prvenstvu su bile srebrne, a sada su spremne i raspoložene da na- prave korak više. U Parizu će se od 26. jula do 11. av- gusta održati Letnje olimpijske igre, na koje će naše devojke stići kao glavni favorit. Procene su da ćemo u glavnom gradu Francuske bar četiri puta čuti hi- mnu „Bože pravde“ i to zahvaljujući Novaku Đoko- viću, Ivani Španović, basketašima 3 na 3 i, naravno, odbojkašicama. Naravno, nisu oni jedini... Srpske odbojkašice su u Rio de Žaneiru 2016. bi- le druge, dok su na prethodnim Igrama u Tokiju mo- rale da se zadovolje trećim mestom. Iako se odličjima ne gleda u zube, jasno je da generacija predvođena fantastičnom Tijanom Bošković ima samo jedan cilj – zlato u Parizu. – Ambicije su najveće. Kao i uvek. Nećemo biti skromni, znamo da nam nedostaje samo zlatna olim- pijska medalja. Iskrena da budem, ne razmišljamo još o tome. Ali kad dođe vreme, znamo da ćemo dati sve od sebe i da ćemo otići u Pariz da ostvarimo ono što željno iščekujemo – rekla je najbolja odbojkašica na planeti, Tijana Bošković. Tijana 8. marta slavi 27. rođendan i neverovat- no je da će joj Igre u Parizu biti čak treće na kojima učestvuje... – Stižemo u Pariz! Treća sreća – napisala je Tija- na nakon što je pomogla Srbiji da se kvalifikuje na najveću sportsku smotru u 2024. godini.
W hen it comes to Serbian sports, one thing’s for certain: our lady volley- ball players return from every ma- jor competition with medals! They won silver at the most recent Eu- ropean Championship, while they’re now ready and in the mood to step it up. The Summer Olympics will take place in Paris from 26 th July to 11 th August, and our girls will arrive as the top favourites. It is esti- mated that we will hear the national anthem, God of Justice, at least four times in the French capital, thanks to Novak Đoković, Ivana Španović, the 3x3 basketball team and, of course, the female volleyball squad. And they aren’t the only ones, of course... Serbia’s lady volleyball players finished second in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, while they’d had to settle for third place at the previous games in Tokyo. Although medals aren’t taken for granted, this generation that’s led by the fantastic Tijana Bošković clearly has just one goal: gold in Paris. “Ambitions are the highest, as always. We won’t be modest. We know that Olympic gold is the on- ly thing we’re missing. To be honest, we’re not yet thinking about that. But when the time comes, we know that we will give our all and that we will go to Paris to achieve what we eagerly anticipate,” said the world’s top female volleyball player, Tijana Bošković. Tijana celebrates her 27 th birthday this 8 th March, and it is unbelievable to think that the Paris Games will be her third Olympics... “We are coming to Paris! Third time lucky,” wrote Tijana after helping Serbia qualify for the biggest sport- ing event of 2024. No less ambition is shown by Maja Ognjenović, for whom the Paris Olympics will represents the pinnacle of a career that has spanned more than two decades.
