And there are other prophecies which will still be most literally fulfilled, such as the promises made to Israel, the final judgment, and the end of the world. "For," as Habakkuk says, "the vision is yet for an appointed time, and will not lie. Though it tarry, wait for itu; it will surely come" (Ch. 2 :3). Furthermore, the Bible has demonstrated its peculiar p dr o e w d e s r o b f y th i o ts us i a n n fl d u s en w c h e o w , a it t h di t ff h e e re m n a t r t t i y m r e s. s a T nd hi a n m k o o n f g t d h i e ffe h r u e n nt peoples, have sacrificed their all, their wives, their children, all their possessions, and finally life itself, on account of this book. Think of how they have, on the rack and at the stake, confessed the truth of the Bible, and borne testimony to its power. However, 0 ye critics and despisers of God's Word, if you will only write such a book and then die for it, we will believe you. Lastly, the Bible shows itself every day to be a divinely given book by its beneficent influence among all kinds of people.
