ADMISSIONS INFORMATION Rosemead seeks to admit applicants whose background clearly demonstrates scholarly aptitude, interests, and performance; spiritual sensitivity; commit­ ment to the historic Christian faith; personal character and integrity; and, positive, service-oriented motivation toward the field of clinical psychology . Rosemead holds an evangelical Christian commitment and requires that an applicant have been a Christian for at least one year prior to admission. No discrimination with reference to an applicant's sex, racial, or national back­ ground is practiced in admissions policies. Rosemead welcomes all applicants regardless of racial or national origin who are personally committed to faith in Christ. Persons interested in attending Rosemead should request application forms from the Director of Admissions. Visits to the La Mirada campus are encour­ aged when possible. It is advisable to write or phone in advance if a conference is desired with an admissions counselor. Visits to classes may not be made without consent of the instructors. Since enrollment is limited and admission is on a selective basis, applica­ tions should be made as early as possible. The application deadline is February 15. Decisions are made only on completed applications. Rosemead currently admits new students for the degree programs only in the fall semester each year. Applications submitted after the February 15 deadline will rarely be considered for the following fall semester. Applicants should send the com­ pleted main application form before other materials, such as recommendations and transcripts , et cetera , are sent in. As in most graduate programs in psychology, competition is keen and enrollment is limited. In order to be admitted to full graduate standing the applicant must comply with the following: (1) Possess a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited liberal arts college or university with an average grade of at least "B" for the junior and senior years, i.e., 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. (2) Present an undergraduate program with either a major in psychology or its functional equivalent, which is a minimum of 30 semester hours of credit in academic psychology, including one course each in: General (Introduc­ tory) Psychology; Statistical Methods in Psychology; Experimental Psychology; History and Systems of Psychology; Abnormal Psychology; Theories of Personality; and, Learning. Also strongly recommended are courses in Measurement Theory, Physiological Psychology, or a year of Biology/Zoology; Old and New Testament Survey, emphasizing Bible study method; and, Hermeneutics. (3) Submit scores on the Graduate Record Examination Aptitude Test and Psychology Advanced Test. Information regarding testing dates and loca­ tions may be obtained by writing to the Educational Testing Service, Box 955, Princeton, New Jersey 08540. No applicant is exempt from submit­ ting GRE scores which must be received prior to the deadline date of 36
