RPSY 542 MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT II (4)

Clinical interpretation of Wechsler scales with an introduction to learning disabilities and neuropsychological screening. Use of objective personality instruments with emphasis upon the MMPI. Introduction to more structured projective instruments such as the TAT and Sentence Completion. Cost of materials required for this course is approximately $150. (Required.)

RPSY 543 MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT III (3)

An introduction to the use of projective techniques in personality assessment with special emphasis on the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the Rorschach using Exner's Comprehensive System. Prerequisites: RPSY 541, RPSY 542. (Required for Psy.D.)

RPSY 544 MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT IV (3)

Advanced interpretation of the Rorschach including special issues such as forensic evaluations, child and adolescent personality assessment, assessment of thought disorder. Other basic projective instruments such as the TAT, CAT, and Sentence Completion tests are also covered. Prerequisite: RPSY 543. (Elective.)

RPSY 545 MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT V (1 or 2)

The writing of psychological evaluations with an emphasis on the integration of material derived from test batteries and other case material. Students should have some familiarity with projective techniques. (Elective.)

RPSY 546 MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT VI (2)

Examines the psychological, neurological and statistical bases of neuro­ psychology, including the two major systems of testing procedures utilized in assessment of brain impairment, the Halstead-Reitan and the Indiana-Luria Neuropsychological Examination. Interpretation and utilization of data in treatment planning will also be considered. Prerequisites: RPSY 541-542, RPSY 705, RPSY 707. (Elective.)

RPSY 551 PERSONALITY I (3)

This course covers the humanistic-existential viewpoint on personality, includ­ ing such theorists as Allport, Boss, Frankl, Gendlin, Laing, Maslow, May, Rogers, and Van Kaam. (Required.) 61
