Initial Reruitment packet REVISED November 29

Dear Friend of MADD,

At MADD, we believe in zero. Zero deaths. Zero injuries. Zero families impacted by impaired driving. MADD has made great progress since our founding , but there is still much work to be done. Every day, you share the road with more than 300,000 people who admit to driving drunk. Mothers Against Drunk Driving exists to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking. Volunteers are the lifeblood of MADD—full of passion and compassion for our mission. At MADD, we believe the dynamic skills and resources volunteers bring to the MADD team are crucial in advancing MADD’s mission of a nation with No More Victims. We value MADD volunteers’ commitment and connection to those we couldn’t save, to those we have, and to those we can. We would like to invite you to be part of the MADD Mid Atlantic Advisory Board. The Advisory Board provides the framework and support for MADD Mid Atlantic to grow and serve more victims. The Advisory Board is designed not only to provide strategic leadership and guidance to local MADD programs and services, but also serves to build capacity through increased volunteer activity and revenue generation.

The Purpose of the Advisory Board

1. Provide leadership, strategic guidance and coordination to determine how to best implement programs and services, as defined by MADD National, that meet regional and national goals and objectives in order to achieve MADD’s mission. 2. Work with the region to broaden MADD’s operation and create a philanthropic culture. 3. Assist the region in increasing awareness and building capacity through recruiting and retaining new volunteers.

Let’s do this together.

For No More Victims, Roderick Howard, Regional Executive Director
