Prior to joining Stora Enso, she held various executive leadership positions, including President and CEO of Igge- sund Paperboard AB in 2013-2017 and Managing Director at BillerudKorsnäs AB from 2010-2013. “Annica is an extraordinary leader. Bresky said that being selected as the TAPPI/PIMA Ex- ecutive of the Year is a great honor. “For nearly 60 years, TAPPI has meticulously selected the winners of this prestigious award and I am deeply hon- ored to join the ranks of some our industry’s best and most respected leaders,” she said. Bresky is a board member of the Confederation of Eu- ropean Paper Industries (CEPI), the Swedish Forest Indus- tries Federation (Skogsindustrierna), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and Ørsted A/S. She is also a member of The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and the Executive Commit- tee of the World Business Council for Sustainable Devel- opment (WBCSD). Bresky holds an Honorary Doctor of Technology from Lappeenranta–Lahti University of Technology LUT since 2022 and an Executive MBA and a M.Sc. in Aquatic and Environmental Engineering. In 2022, she was awarded the RISI Woman of the Year PPI award. The TAPPI/PIMA Executive of the Year Award is among the highest honors bestowed by TAPPI and PIMA. The award is presented to senior-level executives in the pulp, paper or converting industries for excellence in manage- ment and outstanding contributions to the industry as a whole.
