Marmite switched to green energy and significantly reduces its environmental impact. Now 100% of our energy comes from renewable resources.
The total reduction of GHG emissions related to our conscious decision is 8.3 thousand tons of CO 2 per year. This is as much as the forest with an area of 16 km 2 absorbs annually. Before this change manufacture an average engineered stone washbasin, Marmite had to provide electricity, which was responsible for the emission of 5 kg of CO 2 into the atmosphere. Compared to the emissions related to the production of similar products made from ceramics, this 5kg of CO 2 was already up to 70 times lower impact on the environment.
