THE EXCITEMENT OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS SEPTEMBER’S TRANSITION DAZZLES US WITH BEAUTY
The end of summer is always bittersweet for us. It’s hard to say goodbye to the warm temperatures, and the kids dread saying goodbye to their vacation. It’s a process getting the kids back into their school year routine. But soon enough, we’re back in the thick of it and moving full speed ahead. Our kids had an awesome summer vacation. Our two oldest children learned how to wakesurf with a friend, and all the kids spent a lot of time in the water. August brought a lot of memories. We loved participating in the annual Palace City Pedalers Glow Ride and Tour de Corn, and camping out in Nebraska to witness the solar eclipse and experience totality was the perfect end to summer.
It’s hard to say goodbye to perfect boating
weather, but September’s
weather is ideal for its own host of activities, including biking, bonfires, evening walks, and football games. We love to see kids in the community taking advantage of the pump track and new trails around Lake Mitchell, and the foliage is beautiful. In a few months, most of us will be burrowed
up inside our homes, taking refuge from the freezing cold. But for now, we get to enjoy that sweet spot in the season when the temperatures are close to perfect.
We hope you’re able to spend time outdoors this month. With better health and well-being, you’re sure to smile more.
