Hola Sober OCTOBER

Dear Sober Queens,

from physical health to relationships and mental well-being. However, these changes take time to materialise. Jumping on and off the wagon delays the process and can DIMINISH the progress you've made. IT IS NOT A FUCKING data point or a learning moment - it is a choice you have made to press the fuck- it button and unknow THE KNOWING. Support Matters: Surrounding yourself with a support system, like Hola Sober or friends, family, therapy, or traditional sober groups, is crucial. They can provide encouragement and guidance during difficult moments, helping you stay the course. Self-Discovery: Sobriety offers the opportunity for profound self-discovery! It allows you to explore your true self, uncover your passions, and set meaningful life goals. This journey of self-discovery is continuous, and it's most fruitful when you remain committed to sobriety. A Fulfilling Life: Ultimately, committing to sobriety means committing to a more fulfilling, authentic, and healthier life. It's a chance to embrace your full potential and experience the world with clarity and purpose. The bottom line is that sobriety isn't a matter of getting on and off the horse; it's about making a steadfast commitment to a better life. It's about embracing the challenges, building resilience, and reaping the rewards of a sober and fulfilling existence. By staying in the saddle, you empower yourself to lead a life free from the burdens of addiction and full of the joys of recovery. Mind yourself today and join me in the sober dawn chorus as we say not today lady, not today. Love Susan x

This past weekend, over 365 women registered for CAMINO-30, 260 plus came into the classroom, which means 100 ran for the hills AGAIN. I am so used to this on-off train of registrations that it does not faze me and am grateful no money changes hands as that is a lot of refunds to process!! Committing to sobriety is a significant decision that can transform your life, but it requires unwavering dedication. It's not a matter of getting on and off the horse; rather, it's about staying firmly in the saddle and riding through the challenges that come your way. Consistency is Key: Sobriety is a journey, not a destination. To truly benefit from it, you must remain consistent in your commitment. The temptation to have a drink might arise, especially during moments of stress or celebration, but sticking to your pledge is essential. We dont' drink even if our ass is on fire. Breaking the Cycle: For many people, the cycle of wine-o-clock-addiction involves repeatedly quitting and opting out. This can be discouraging and detrimental to your overall well-being. so do yourself a favour and wake-the-fuck-up. When you commit to sobriety, you create a new, healthier life for yourself. As they say, get with the program and stick with it. Building Resilience: Sobriety isn't always easy. There will be moments of craving, triggers, and emotional ups and downs. By staying committed and not wavering in your decision, you build resilience. You learn to face life's challenges without relying on alcohol to cope.

Positive Change: Sobriety brings about positive changes in every aspect of your life,
