Hola Sober OCTOBER

I’m in my mid-50s and I have only NOW learned how to really use the word “No,”. I know it is an important word in sobriety because it allows me to set boundaries and prioritise my own health and well-being. Learning to say "no" can also help us women to develop stronger relationships based on mutual respect and understanding. By setting clear boundaries and communicating our needs and priorities, we can build healthier and more supportive relationships with friends, family, and other people in their lives. While saying "no" can be difficult or uncomfortable at times, it is an important skill for us all to learn in sobriety. By learning to say "no" in a firm and respectful way, I am taking control of my recovery and building a strong and sustainable sober lifestyle. That for me is key, I have lost too much time, lost too many years. It had to be now or never (3 years sober) when I started out aged 53 years old. No, has worked a treat for me and may I forever say no, when I am nervous about my sobriety coming under fire.

Not today lady, not today."

Love Winnie x
